My fellow blogger and Isla resident, Islagringo, has started a charity to help the kids around Mexico stay warm....and happy. His one-man charity's goal is to provide homemade hats, mittens and scarves to children of impoverished communities around Mexico where cold temperatures are a serious problem. He also encourages people to send gently used clothing of any kind to these communties also. Of course, cash donations are also accepted and used to provide gifts to children over the Holidays. Children who otherwise probably would not receive a thing.
Why not click on this link and go read about it yourself. And maybe take the time to help out in the form of a donation or sending a box of clothing

Thanks for the promo Daniel. I and the children of Mexico appreciate it. Nice hats BTW. Did you make them??
Nope, unfortunately my knitting skills are non existant, i stole the photo from www.vivaveracruz.com and his post about helping the children.
I commented on his blog about it, there was no contact email on the site for me to ask permission.. Better to ask for forgiveness later than permission now :) It`s for a good cause! :D
